NOVICE AUCTIONEER CHAMPIONSHIP (LESS THAN 50 CALLS)

Date: Monday 22 May 2023

Time: 8.00am – 1.15pm

Venue: Bealey 3, Te Pae Convention Cente

Lock up & briefing: 7.15am

First call: 8.00am

 

The Novice Auctioneer Championships will be in slots of 10 minutes. Remember that the benefits of the area / locale in your description are very important “sell the story”.

FIRST DIVISION (50 – 400 CALLS) / OPEN (400+ CALLS) AUCTIONEER HEATS

Date: Monday 22 May 2023

Time: 8.00am – 1.15pm

Venue: Bealey 5, Te Pae Convention Centre

Lock up & briefing: 7.15am

First call: 8.00am

 

The First Division / Open Auction Heats will be in slots of 12 minutes. No need to do the conduct of auction or you could go over on time.

OPEN AUCTIONEER FINAL

Date: Monday 22 May 2023

Time: 3.50pm – 4.50pm

Venue: Auditorium, Te Pae Convention Centre

Lock up & briefing: 3.00pm

First call: 3.50pm

 

The Open Auctioneer Finals will be in slots of 12 minutes (again no conduct of auction). Depending on competitor numbers, we are expecting 4 finalists, this is on the main stage so don’t hold back!

PROPERTY

Please note that all auction properties will be supplied by Shane Cortese via email at 5.00pm on Friday 12 May. Tell a story and do not list features.

 

 

BIDDING

Seven deadly sins do apply. Time penalties, but not fatal.

There will be something for everyone in the sequence and heed the theme of the competition.

PHOTO AND BIOGRAPHY

We will require a photo and biography about yourself for the auction competition material. Please ensure the image supplied is high res and your bio is 120 words or less. Please email your photo and bio to eventsnz@harcourts.net no later than Thursday 13 April 2023.

REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

If you would like to compete in either the Novice or the First Division / Open Auction Competition, you must also register and pay for the Harcourts Conference. If you do not register for Conference, you will be automatically taken out of the Auction Competition.
